Stellar and Planetary Dynamos is held at the Institute for Astrophysics Göttingen (IAG). As part of the University of Göttingen it is located in the Physics Faculty Building at the North Campus (in the direct vicinity of various university and non-university research facilities), about 3 km North of the scenic city centre.

- Tammannstr.: Routes 21 and 23 will take you from/to the train station (Bahnhof/ZOB) to/from here (22 takes you to/from the city centre from/to here).
- Kellnerweg: you can alternatively get off here to get to the opening reception at (50 m closer to MPS than Tammannstr.)
- Goldschmidtstr.: Route 41 stops here (to/from city centre).
